The Cowslingers
The Cowslingers
The Cowslingers have announced a new release of all original songs and a few live dates planned around
the release starting with a hometown gig January 5 th at the Beachland Ballroom. The band has not
recorded since their final LP “Bullseye” in 2005 and has only played a handful of shows since taking a
prolonged hiatus in 2005. Since that time vocalist Greg Miller and drummer Leo Walsh have steadily
recorded and performed in The Whiskey Daredevils, releasing eleven full length records. Guitarist
Bobby Latina has focused on his band The Jack Fords with bass player Ken Miller a Whiskey Daredevil
until pursuing a doctorate from the University of Texas in 2008.
The Cowslingers toured relentlessly as part of the 90s Garage and Americana Underground routinely
doing 120 dates a year while sharing the stage with such likeminded bands as Southern Culture on the
Skids, the White Stripes, Reverend Horton Heat, Cynics, New Bomb Turks, Whiskeytown, Drive By
Truckers, and Woggles. The band made three European Tours and played 39 states during their initial
run focused on fusing together their favorite genres of rockabilly, country, punk, garage and surf. Their
catalogue contains releases on influential labels of the time such as Sympathy For The Record Industry,
Estrus, Bloodshot, Shake It and Man’s Ruin.
The new release “Real Big Rooster” has eleven all new songs recorded at Detroit’s Rust Belt Recording
by frequent Whiskey Daredevil collaborator John Smerek. The songs stick to the Cowslingers style of
mashing up what they like from different American music and discarding the unnecessary crap with
lyrics focused on the lost souls and misadventures of the Midwestern Underbelly. The band will focus
on these as well as the “hits” from the catalogue on the live dates, which are presented by Magic Hat

Lords Of The Highway
Lords of the Highway from Cleveland, Ohio have been tearin' up asphalt since 1992, bringing you hillbilly punk rock that knocks ya flat, runs ya over, and doesn't look back. The Lords have hauled along the highway from NYC's CBGB's to honky tonk dives in the hills, playing with the likes of Reverend Horton Heat, Southern Culture on the Skids, Hank III, Th' Legendary Shack Shakers, Dick Dale, Nekromantix, Tiger Army, El Vez, Hasil Adkins, Lee Rocker, Ray Condo, and many others - not to mention countless of kick ass punk bands. They've played events including Daytona's Bike Week, and are regulars at the biggest baddest party in this hemisphere, Heavy Rebel Weekender in Winston-Salem, NC. The Lords are also no strangers to the big & little screens, having appear". On the show, The Lords cut the mustard at the LA. tryouts only to be given the boot by Sheila E. & Goo Goo Dolls front man John Rzeznik. Yes, Sheila E. (who everyone knows is a true a rock connoisseur) The Lords can only take this rejection as a true sign that rock is dead in the corporate world. You also can find the Lords music as soundtracks for 6 other independent films, and the band also has a DVD of their music videos.

The line-up for the newest album ";Death Before 2nd Place" includes Jocephus beatin' the hell out of the drums, his big brother Jimbo screaming and slapping the upright bass, and Dennis A. Bell astounding crowds with his "smoke and mirrors" technique on his hollow body Gretsch.
