Despite their namesake, queerpunk darlings Pretty Pretty Awful often find themselves being told they're anything but. The band's sound offers a blend of garage rock buzz and old school punk sensabilities along with a distinctive lyrical flair that sets them apart. From shredding to sold out crowds alongside performance artists & drag kings/queens to playing Cleveland landmark events like Ingenuity Fest & Brite Winter, Pretty Pretty Awful has made a name for themselves by their unique style & emotionally charged performances.
Pretty Pretty Awful is... AP (vocals/rhythm guitar), Donnie (drums), JV (vocals, lead guitar), Roxie (bass), Weiland (backing vocals, percussion) & Chayla (backing vocals, keys, theremin)
Get Mean, the long awaited debut EP from Cleveland queer punks, Pretty Pretty Awful, comes tearing into the world like a snarling b-movie monster finally bursting out of the closet. Featuring 5 of the band's catchiest rippers, GET MEAN is the perfect introduction to PPA who meld a unique blend of garage-rock edge with pop-punk bop featuring songs about loves lost, selves found, and the gutters we all so often haunt.
