The Cowslingers slugged it out in the 1990s and early 2000s garage/punk/rockabilly indie club scene playing 38 States and 7 countries while releasing 10 full length records and a dozen 7 inch singles on the desirable labels of the day like Estrus, Sympathy For The Record Industry, Man's Ruin, Shake It, and their own Drink N Drive Records label. They played gigs with everyone even mildly related to their scene like Southern Culture On The Skids, Reverend Horton Heat, White Stripes, The Blasters, Jason and the Scorchers, Link Wray, Dick Dale, Drive By Truckers, Hasil Adkins, and almost Quiet Riot once in Illinois before someone came to their senses. After Bobby left the band and attempted to become a respectable citizen, Greg/Leo/Ken kept going on for years as the Whiskey Daredevils making similarly inspired rock music mashed up from the good stuff of country/rockabilly/punk/surf/garage. The band got back together after Daredevils guitar player Hector tore his labrum putting him on the shelf to fill the Daredevils busy calendar of dates last summer. Now the Hector has recovered, the Cowslingers are still going but with original Cowslingers/Daredevils Greg Miller and Leo P. Love, original Cowslinger guitar player Bobby Latina and bass player Lil Jimmy Richard (aka "Jimbo"). The band has written a new LP worth of material and needs to road test it out in front of unwitting folks like yourselves. Look for a set of the "hits" (the stuff from the old records people ask about) and "the new stuff" (the songs that you'd go to the men's room if you were watching the Black Crowes at Blossom). The motto for the 2026 shows is "The Cowslingers: Almost As Good As You Remembered It".
