Waterband is back, and the flow continues.
For more than 25 years, Waterband has been part of Cleveland, Ohio’s original music scene, building a following through its distinctive blend of improvisational jam-rock, funk, roots, and psychedelic sounds. Known for its musicianship, adventurous performances, and positive spirit, Waterband has always been about more than just playing songs. It’s about connection, community, and the shared experience of live music.
On January 23, 2027, Waterband returns to Cleveland’s legendary Beachland Ballroom to bring that spirit into its next chapter.
Led by founding member Dreadlock Dave, Waterband moves forward with a powerful five-piece lineup of longtime collaborators and accomplished musicians:
• Dreadlock Dave — bass, guitar, and vocals
• Jon-O Yowell — bass, saxophone, and vocals
• Ryan Mitiska — keyboards and vocals
• Danny Jenkins — drums and vocals
• Josh Bailey — guitar and vocals
Together, these musicians bring deep musical chemistry, adventurous interplay, and a renewed commitment to original music. Waterband’s sound draws from the freedom of jam music, the groove of funk, the spirit of rock, and the expansive possibilities of psychedelic exploration. No two performances have to feel exactly alike, and the music leaves room for spontaneity, surprises, and moments that can only happen live.
The next chapter is about moving forward: bringing original songs back to the stage, introducing new music, and reconnecting with longtime fans while inviting a new generation into the Waterband experience.
